Building trust through knowledge sharing: Implications for incentive system design

چکیده
We examine whether knowledge sharing can enhance the efficacy of implicit, trust-based incentives. Using a stark laboratory experiment, we find support for theory suggesting that individuals believe their is an important part identity, making it costly to share, but facilitating greater trust recipients this will reciprocate with future rewards. Utilizing participants substantial work experience, results from additional scenario-based experiments demonstrate practical implications theory. Collectively, our show help others less when conveys personal relative does not absent prospect rewards, more they expect rewards (i.e., implicit incentives). Importantly, increases incentives are determined by recipient someone else (e.g., supervisor). contribute better understanding incentive systems designed promote in practice.

Representing Scientific Experiments: Implications for Ontology Design and Knowledge Sharing
As part of the development of knowledge sharing technology, it is necessary to consider a variety of domains and tasks in order to ensure that the shared framework is widely applicable. This paper describes an ontology design project in experimental molecular biology, focusing on extensions to previous ontological models and frame-based formalisms that allow us to handle problems in the represe...

متن کاملBuilding trust in online auction markets through an economic incentive mechanism
Millions of dollars change hands daily through online auction markets. However, fraud has been on the rise in these markets. Using a game theoretic approach, we propose a design of an economic incentive mechanism, the trusted third party (TTP), to serve the online auction communities. The proposed model addresses both the economic and technological aspects of online auction transactions by assi...
